Turn a profit earned over a few weeks or months into a yearly rate, so locked-up capital can be compared fairly.

Return needed over 222 days for 10% a year (simple)6.08%

Simple = (profit ÷ capital) × 365 ÷ days. Compounded = (1 + period return)^(365 ÷ days) − 1, which assumes the same return can be repeated and reinvested for a whole year, something prediction markets do not guarantee. The default example (a 0.6% return over 222 days) is an illustration of how long lockups shrink a yearly figure, not a forecast. Not financial advice.

Arbitrage Agent shows days to resolution next to the net edge of each matched pair, so you can see the lockup before you place the orders yourself.

Why days matter

An arbitrage locks capital on both platforms until the markets resolve. The same edge earned in 30 days and in 300 days is a very different yearly rate. For real figures, see what our scanner saw in 24 hours and the article on capital lockup.

To get the net profit for a specific pair first, including fees, use the arbitrage calculator or the Kalshi fee calculator.
